Dr. Allan Kramer
President
Dr. Kramer received his M.S. in Organic Chemistry from Kansas State University in 1970 and his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from American University, Washington D.C. in 1974. He is founder and co-owner of Sioux Biochemical, Inc. and has served as its president since its inception. He worked at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, MD doing research on Multiple Sclerosis. He has taught at local Iowa colleges and enjoys agricultural research. Since 1987 he has been involved at the management level in the biotechnology industry. In 1998, he co-founded Sioux Pharm, Inc. which produces nutraceuticals, including chondroitin sulfate, a popular supplement for joint health.
Dr. Randy Meyer
Director of Research & Development and Quality Control/Assurance
Dr. Meyer received his M.S. and Ph.D. in Animal Physiology in the area of Endocrinology from the University of Minnesota in the 1990’s. Dr. Meyer has approximately 30 publications in the fields of Endocrinology and Biochemistry and holds two patents. He is married and resides with his wife and three children near Sioux Center, IA.
Kevin Wolterstorff
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Wolterstorff graduated from Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts in Agricultural Business in 1981. He spent 26 years in banking, with the last 7 years as a bank president. Mr. Wolterstorff joined Sioux Pharm, Inc. in September of 2007 as the Chief Financial Officer. His main responsibilities include finance, human resources, risk management, purchasing, sales, and general administration.
